Erfgoed Bossem

We stayed at the farm for one night on the way back home and we wished we could have stayed longer. We got the basic room, but it was big enough for the family of four. We liked the beds, white crispy sheets and we absolutely loved the breakfast. We definately want to return and stay for at least 2 nights to watch the stars and enjoy the surroundings.

Why , really why ??? Has this not been posted ??? where does it violate anything ??? Please get a human being to moderate this information about a very nice Farm !!! Just spent a Saturday to Sunday at this Farm/Hotel-Restaurant. It was a special occasion whereby the Twentse Land Goose was the center of attention. 40 guests all sat down together to taste the Goose that was served ,a whole Goose for 3/4 people and and carve it up yourself.It was part of a 4 course meal and loads of Twntse wine,it just kept coming . . . The atmosphere was fantastic, the Goose a little overcooked,rather dry,the other three courses were OK. The wine was great !Very surprising for Dutch wine ? It was a bit of a shame as this is a working Farm with a rare breed of Cattle, organically farmed, and I would have preferred to eat the beef rather than the Goose.You can also buy the Beef from the Farm to take away. We stayed in a suite, which was definitely 4 star quality, only one issue, that was the cows in the Stall ! They were mooing the whole night, I didn't think cows made that much noise, but this was almost deafening . . . The staff, are really helpful and friendly and very service orientated, excellent and the breakfast is very,very good indeed. We stayed with our son and daughter in law and their two children, and there was plenty for them to do, and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves ! I would recommend going to this place when the cows are in the meadows, not in the Stall if you want to sleep, or take ear plugs with if you are going in the winter . Plenty of good walks to be had, and the surrounding area is beautiful. Ootmarsum is 10 minutes drive away and if you are interested in "Art" in many forms,this is a wonderful small town to visit, very interesting !
